How to Limit Roblox Screen Time on iPhone and iPad

You can limit Roblox in two places: in a linked parent Roblox account and in Apple's controls for your child's iPhone or iPad. Start with the Roblox account if your child is eligible for parent-managed daily limits. Use Apple's settings when you also need to control access on the device.

The account matters. Under Roblox's current rules, control over daily screen-time limits shifts to the child at age 13. A teen's own limit is different from a limit managed by a parent. Choose the control that matches the problem

Roblox's account controls and Apple's family controls are separate systems. Joining Apple Family Sharing does not link your Roblox accounts. Google's Family Link also cannot impose device screen-time limits on a child's iPhone or iPad. Google's iOS limitations.

Set Roblox's daily limit from a parent account

First, link your own Roblox account to your child's account. Roblox requires a parent account with parental privileges and an age-verification step; its supported verification methods include an ID or a credit card. After linking:

1. Open Roblox using your parent account. On mobile, select More, then Settings.
2. Open Parental Controls and select the correct child.
3. Find Screen time and select Manage beside the chart.
4. Open Screen time limit.
5. Choose the allowance in Daily limit.

Roblox says that reaching this limit prevents the child from using Roblox for the rest of the day. Its screen-time chart includes time on the platform, while the Top Experiences breakdown counts time inside individual experiences, so those totals may differ. Roblox's screen-time guide.

If you cannot find the control, check the linked account and age eligibility before repeating setup. A missing parent limit on a teen account may reflect Roblox's rules rather than a broken connection.

Limit Roblox on the iPhone or iPad

Apple changed its Screen Time interface in version 27. Use the branch that matches your family's devices. You can check each device's version under Settings → General → About.

If your family uses the upgraded Screen Time controls in iOS or iPadOS 27

On the parent's device, open Settings → Family → your child.

• To create an allowance, open Time Allowances, select Add, and follow the choices for the apps or categories you want to limit.
• To block Roblox, open Apps & Websites, select Roblox, and choose Block App.
• For recurring periods, use Screen Time Schedule.

Apple's family upgrade guide asks you to update all eligible family devices, then open Settings → Family → Get Started to transfer or set up the new parental controls. Updating the operating system alone does not finish that process. Devices that cannot update can keep their earlier Screen Time settings. If your child still uses the iOS or iPadOS 26 controls

On the parent's device, open Settings → Screen Time → your child → App Limits → Add Limit. Expand the relevant category and select Roblox. Choose Next, set the allowance, then save it.

Selecting several apps within one limit gives them a shared allowance. Select Roblox on its own if you want its time separated from other games. Review Always Allowed and any existing Downtime settings so your selections match the boundary you intend. Keep the Screen Time passcode under adult control. Your child's ordinary device-unlock code and the code used to approve changes should not become an everyday shortcut around your agreement.

Check the actual result before relying on it

A saved setting is only the start. Try a brief check together when losing access won't interrupt something important. The following is a suggested family test, not a report of tests we performed.

Restore the intended allowance after the check. Don't leave a test setting in place and discover it during tomorrow's game.

An iPhone app restriction should not be treated as proof that every possible route to Roblox is covered. If your child uses another account, a computer, or another family device, include that route in your plan. Changing settings on one iPad does not itself configure the rest of the household.

If the numbers or the limit look wrong

Write down what you expected and what happened: the device, software version, account, time of day, and visible message. Then check one thing at a time.

• The wrong child is selected: return to the parent account and confirm the linked profile.
• The control disappeared: review Roblox's age-related permissions.
• The Apple setting exists but allows continued use: review the applicable allowance, exceptions, passcode, and whether you are seeing an approval or reminder.

Unexpected usage is not, by itself, evidence that your child deliberately bypassed a rule.

If your family also wants learning before Roblox

A daily limit answers “How much?” A learning-before-access rule adds “What happens first?”

OMO Kids describes a cycle in which educational quizzes lead to temporary access to selected apps, followed by re-locking. That may fit a family that has already decided to put a short learning activity before Roblox. It does not replace Roblox account controls or establish a household-wide limit by itself. Before considering that setup, you need supported Apple devices for the parent and child, OMO on both, and the child's eligible Apple Account in the same Family Sharing group.
